Student Workshop at The Field Museum

Plan an enriching field trip that lets your students see the new exhibition Gregor Mendel: Planting the Seeds of Genetics and have a student workshop with Cheryl Bardoe, author of Gregor Mendel: The Friar Who Grew Peas. Hear excerpts from Bardoe's book, learn the basics of heredity, and engage in hands-on activities based on Mendel's experiments. Cost: $3 per Chicago student, $4 per non-Chicago student. Pre-Registration Required. Plan your field trip directly through The Field Museum’s Education Department.

Printers' Row Book Fair in Chicago
On June 3 I was one of four authors who took part in a panel discussion. Entitled Show, Don't Tell, the panel was moderated by Esther Hershenhorn and discussed the thrills, surprises, rewards and reality of getting published for the first time. Seen here are (l. to r.)
